与四川队的十五运会男篮成年组铜牌争夺战还有4分钟结束时，辽宁男篮落后20分，胜负已经失去悬念。主教练杨鸣做出换人手势，砍下5分、17个篮板的韩德君走下赛场。当韩德君向看台鞠躬的时候，人们不禁有些伤感：这个韩德君每次离场都会做的标志性动作，以后不会在赛场上看到了。
上赛季CBA联赛结束后，韩德君就处于准备退役的状态。3个月前，辽篮俱乐部官宣了韩德君退役的消息。但是，考虑到球队的需要， 并且想为家乡荣誉最后拼一回，韩德君现身辽篮全运会阵容中。虽然38岁的韩德君已经没有办法像年轻时那样体能充沛地奔跑、对抗、抢篮板，但他还是身体力行地起到了带头作用，无愧于队长身份。
离开休息室前，韩德君最后一次行使队长的权利，要求大家一起把休息室打扫干净，并且带头行动。高诗岩开玩笑说：“君哥已经退役了，就是辽宁男篮前队员了，不用挨累打扫了。”大韩则边打扫边笑着说：“站好最后一班岗，把最好的辽宁男篮形象展示出来。”
忠肝义胆，情义无价，这是韩德君18年职业生涯的真实写照。在巅峰期，韩德君有很多机会加入其他球队，从而获得更加优厚的待遇，他却说：“我生在辽宁，长在辽宁，为辽宁作贡献，是我应该做的。”18年里，他帮助辽篮四度捧起CBA总冠军，两次摘得全运会金牌，并12次入选全明星赛，退役时排在CBA历史得分榜第十、篮板榜第二，是名副其实的辽篮队史“第一中锋”。
临别之际，韩德君不愿多说，队友却有说不完的话。高诗岩的不舍之情溢于言表：“和君哥在一起打了这么多年球，早已经是好兄弟。他38岁了，在场上还这么拼，是我们的榜样。这是我们这批辽宁球员最后一次在一起打全运会比赛，感谢君哥能陪我们完成比赛。”作为中生代球员的付豪则说：“这几年在君哥身上学习到很多东西，特别是他为家乡而战的精神。君哥是我们的队长，在训练、比赛、生活中给予我们很大帮助，他永远是我们的榜样。”
正如队友所说，韩德君是他们的好队长、好大哥、好榜样。从今以后，“功夫熊猫”的身影将告别赛场，但韩德君的传奇故事，将在辽宁体育的历史中留存。
