北京时间9月20日，根据媒体人“江南的城 ”报道，前山西男篮外援法耶正在接触一支南区球队引发外界的热议。
“江南的城 ”发文说道：据我向相关经纪公司了解，上赛季效力于山西汾酒男篮的内线外援法耶，近期正在与一支南区CBA球队接触，如果一切顺利，他新赛季仍将效力CBA联赛。
法耶上个赛季效力山西男篮期间，场均19.1分钟，得到7分6.4篮板1.4助攻1.4抢断1.5盖帽。
他能在山西男篮更换外援超过两位数的频率下，依旧保留达到征战季后赛，足以证明了法耶远比大部分的外援具有吸引力，特别是并不占据球权的打法，法耶的防守硬度，以及护框质量都获得过球迷的认可。
目前南方的CBA球队有意补强护框型的大外援并不少数，其中比较清晰的是广东、上海两支季后赛级别的球队。
广东男篮有消息称已经签下了萨林杰，奎恩，麦考尔三名外援，其中萨林杰是进攻型的大外援，奎恩和麦考尔则是小外援，结合到徐昕，莫兰德离开球队，广东只有焦泊乔一人超过2米10以上的大个子球员，此时迫切需要护框型的大外援坐镇，借此解决防守和篮板球拼抢问题。
上海男篮同样需要护框型的大外援，目前分别签下了洛夫顿，古德温两名核心外援，再加上张镇麟，崔晓龙的加入，上海各个位置都具有比较充足的轮换，但护框型的5号位球员，上海试训了前NBA篮板王怀特塞德，整体效果并不理想，上海并没有给出合同。
参考上海男篮几乎每一个赛季的投入都是领跑全联盟，引进张镇麟被誉为加入争冠热门信号，法耶虽然整体上限并不会特别高，但在篮板和防守上确实是能给到上海一定的贡献。
